Decals - Baseball Bat Created by John McMunn
⚾ Custom Baseball Bat Decal Project
Created by John McMunn
Longtime Phillies fan and hobbyist John McMunn utilized our premium inkjet waterslide decal paper to create a one-of-a-kind collectible baseball bat—complete with a custom logo and an autograph from the team’s fan event.

🛠️ Project Overview
This bat project showcases how well waterslide decals adhere to curved wood surfaces when applied with care. John’s idea was to replicate a classic Phillies logo and affix it to a game-style bat as a keepsake—one that would later be signed during the Phillies Phanfest held at Veterans Stadium.
- ✨ Decal Design: Printed on clear waterslide paper using a standard inkjet printer.
- ✨ Surface: Smooth, lacquered wood—perfect for decal adhesion.
- ✨ Event Finish: Completed before the Phanfest for a professional look.
📸 Behind the Photo
As John notes, the subtle transparency of the waterslide film allowed the wood grain to show through the logo, creating a vintage, authentic look that blended into the bat's finish.
“The decal paper worked great. I used it for the first time to make a logo-type decal for the Phillies last year at the Vet and had the bat autographed at the Phillies Phanfest.”
